These are very delicate and brittle. Drill anything but soft wood and they snap even when little pressure is applied.

Lots of drilling sheet metal to fasten materials with sheet metal screws. Bits break and these are reasonable quality replacement bits.

I was using a quarter inch impact driver to drill pilot holes in 2x4s I was framing up for shelving. I started out with a Harbor Freight titanium coated 1/8 in. drill bit, and it broke on me after a few minutes. I was not done, so I reached for my Makita impact drill bit set. I drilled quite a few pilot holes for the 3 in. deck screws I was going to insert, and the Makita broke. I ordered these drill bits so I could finish the job, and drilled more holes with one of these drill bits than all I drilled with the Harbor Freight and Makita bits together. The bit is still going strong. When you start a hole, this bit will walk more than the Makita, but other than that, I think these are good drill bits for the money, and I have more back ups if I need them too. I would not try using them for metal however.

Used these to drill pilot holes through 16 and 14 ga. steel rafters, girts, and purlins while erecting a metal building. The cons; two of the drill bits separated from their impact holder, 3 of the bits snapped at the bit to holder connection and 1 bit bent , all while in the process of drilling. I think under normal drilling conditions, these would be fine but in the field they really get tested for durablity when up on a 12' ladder drilling though to layers of 3 layers of 14 ga. steel. The Pros: The 6-pack is a great value, since we use them as disposables. Out of the box, these drills are nice and sharp, so much so that even after they break or separate from their holders, we continue using them to drill pieces on the ground with a conventional chuck drill. For our purposes and because of their value, we wouldn't hesitate to purchase again.
