I needed this exact drill bit, the kit I got didn't come with this bit. I'm going to be attaching my transom wheel mounts.

Unbelievable now much this ruined my copper bus bars. I had drilled pilot holes from 3mm to 10mm and this 14mm was to finish it off. It was so blunt and weak that it created triangular holes! I had heard of this type of stuff happening from other reviewers and couldn't imagine how something could make a 'triangular' hole, but then it happened to me. Complete and total garbage of a product. But, it was the cheapest available and in this case, you really do get what you pay for.

The bit is well structured, sharp, and hard enough to hold its edge over multiple uses in metal. The Hex shank made quick changes with other bits and sockets easy. It's a standard length drill bit, so if you're needing to go deeper, look for a "jobber's length" bit instead. Met my needs.

Used to drill out for a 14x1.5 tap. Definitely had to work from smaller sized drill bits up to this size but when I got there, it worked as expected. I bought one but to work in the drill and this bit to use with a 90 degree adapter and it got the job done.

I needed to drill a 12mm hole for a project, but all of my drills have 3/8" chucks, and the 12mm bit I did have would only fit a drill with a 1/2" chuck. Plus, even if I had a drill motor with a 1/2" chuck, it would not have fit where needed due to tight quarters. So, this bit with the 1/4" hex shank was the perfect solution. Very sharp and did the job.

Bought this to install aftermarket casters onto some Ikea chairs - apparently Ikea thinks it's a good idea to be the only chair maker that uses 10mm caster sockets instead of the industry standard 11mm.While I initially thought the frame was steel, it turned out to be aluminum - this bit worked a treat all the same! Just bored out the existing sockets and voila!
