The alternator decoupler pulley tool kit includes 13 pieces, which is everything you need to hold the alternator shaft in place while the pulley retainer is removed. When you use the pully removal tool kit, you're setting your vehicle up for better stability, reduced vibrations, and extended belt life. To remove pulleys with the alternator pulley tool kit, the shaft coming from the alternator needs to be locked in place while the pulley is spun either clockwise or counterclockwise, depending on the manufacturer's model. I have not used this puller assembly yet but have used one in the past that was borrowed by someone and not returned. I was very pleased with the quality of the old tool and inspecting the new one I expect the same. Good value quality product with a decent carrying case.

This kit does a lot of different cars. If you own a late model car with a decoupling alternator, you'll need this kit. It works perfect.
