Very heavy duty, but there are better alternatives particularly if you're using the end pin. Buy the ingles stand instead and put $160 back in your pocket!

It is harder to adjust as the wing nuts and ratchet system need some design improvement work, they loosen and it is difficult to quickly get them into my desired position. It would be great if you could identify where you would like the legs set and then have them go there every time you set up. It is stable after you finally get it tight and angled where you want it. At his point I am keeping this stand in my practice area and use the original NXT stand then I go out. If I was playing out more often I would want to reverse that as this stand looks to be more durable but is more of a hassle to set up.

This should have come with the instrument. This stand is significantly heavier and sturdier. I love my NXT cello and the stand that came with it was garbage. If you spend 1500 for the instrument, be willing and prepared to spend 200 more for a reasonable and reliable stand.

This is a vast improvement over the problematic, poorly designed stand that was stock with the NXT. The previous stand had made several trips to the shop where I purchased for repairs, two more to Ace Hardware, had three failures at gigs or rehearsals, and an offer from the manufacturer (gee thanks guys) to ship it back (at my cost!) to try to solve the problem which would have been costly. Virtually no wobble, really solidly put together, and no fear of any more train wrecks when performing. Nice design to adjust the tilt of the instrument too, that differs from the stock stand. And, it fits nicely in the standard NXT gig bag that has the separate compartment for the endpin. Only thing different is that this upgrade stand is a few pounds heavier.

This stand should have been standard when buying an NS bass. The one that came with it was a poor design.Buy this stand and never worry again about loose screws and scrambling for duct tape on your next gig.
