Steel tube construction results in a strong reliable stand, while still allowing it to remain light enough to fold up and travel with. With a bow hook on the main support mean you can be sure you never have to go searching for a bow when you want to practice.

My first upright bass just happens to be a Stagg. This stand if the perfect fit.

Stand arrived on time, well-packaged, and in excellent condition. I am impressed with the quality of materials and construction. It holds my Stagg Bass perfectly. Great value!

The clip that holds the neck was broken in the box. Cheaply made and not very sturdy.

Build quality is good. Seems sturdy enough. As another owner indicated, the hold-down bar on the upper clamp is fairly flimsy, but for its purpose should appear to work.My only complaint is that the upper holder won't retract low enough to bring down the playing height for sitting on a stool. I assume this was designed as a storage stand more than a playing stand, but given the number of people who like using a playing stand, I'm surprised more thought wasn't put into this aspect. It would easily work for playing while standing, although the angle is a bit vertical/upright. For sitting, it's about 3 inches too high for playing while sitting on my bar stool (29-30"). The upper holder is clearly designed to fit around the body at a notch just above the volume control. Unfortunately, the holder is too narrow to hold onto the body any higher (which would allow it to be held lower). I'm going to see if I can modify, but it doesn't look to be a simple mod. Or maybe I'll just find a taller stool. ;)I still give it 4 stars for build and what I assume is its INTENDED purpose. Too bad it wasn't designed with just one extra purpose in mind.FWIW, the nut height at its lowest position is ~66-3/4" perpendicular to floor. Ideal nut height for me (5'10") while sitting on my 29" stool would be about 64".
