These are the best cobalt drill bits at this price point that I've ever come across. They drill through even chromed steel and stainless with zero hesitation. Of course, drill bits do lose their bite and wear down but these have been going strong for me with regular use for about 6 months now.

I tried using Ryobi bits for metal and all of those snapped despite keeping them cool with fluid and not applying much pressure trying to get through a steel crash bar ( which is designed to crumple ).I also tried self-tapping screws meant for metal, and other drill-bits. They didn't work but this product did. I did have to use the smaller size and then go up in size to where I needed to be, but they got the job done. Hopefully I won't have to buy again because of the price. Hopefully they'll last me for many years.

Good quality and effectively drills through metal!Used on ~1/8 galvanized and did oil as drilling but cut right through effectively.

I was struggling quite a bit (pun intended) to drill through the snowblower impeller (to install a rubber kit)After burning batteries and snapping every bit in the house I decided to buy these. OMGThe impeller (I think) is hardened steel and this went through like a piece of maple wood. Totally worth the (expensive) price . Buy it.

Needed to tap a hole in a piece of toothed track, ie steel, for a stairlift. Used cutting oil and cleared the burrs after every few millimeters of progress, to ensure a smooth cut and to protect the bits. Started with the smallest bits, working my way up in size. The first two passes with the first two smallest bits went fine, but when I got to the third bit, the bit caught and immediately shattered. Not what I was hoping for or expecting from bits that say they are specifically for stainless steel and hard metals.

I bought these drill bits because they said they are for stainless steel. None of the 5 bits I tried would bite into stainless steel!!! They would just spin and spin and not bite!!! Totally wasted my money!!!Update, I used these bits to enlarge 6 existing holes in stainless, from 3/16ths to 1/4 inch. They worked to my amazement!!!

Fits in tight spaces well. Drills quickly through hard steel in tight spaces. Don't forget to oil the bit/hole as you drill. It heats up fast and not oiling during use will dull bit fast (this note is for those who don't drill steel often). Can also use water, but oil is best for preservation of bit. Water may cause bit to get brittle.

Does a really good job. Made in HSS/cobolt and in one piece not pressed or glued together great for using in a keyless chuck. Seem to by pretty hardy so far. I’m happy!
