I already had one of these in use and works flawlessly, I was a bit worried that the second one would interfere with the other but it did not I’m very happy with my purchase

Easy to use and install for those of us who realized the fan they purchased somehow doesn’t come with a remote! We used this with the Hunter Mena 42in fan and it works great.

Had a light switch that controlled an outlet in the room but wanted to add a ceiling fan with fan and light control on a separate switch. I was able to run a new wire direct to the fan to make it constantly have power (not controlled by a toggle switch) and power it on and off with this item. It does make a click sound when you turn on the fan and light, but nothing that you can't get used to. I assume this is the relay. Instructions are a bit goofy as it references a different product than what it comes with, but the wiring diagram is clear and easy to install. Hardest part is finding a place in the fan housing for it to sit without being in the way but that is dependent of which fan you use.

Product works as expected. Bonus is the remote design! It’s sleek and when mounted to wall, doesn’t look out of place.

Just like the title says. Bought last month, worked great then all of a sudden stopped working! Went through all reprogramming even disconnected and reinstalled! Nothing. Fan still works through wired switch!

Used with a Honeywell ceiling fan in a 1950s era house that I'm remodeling. The wiring wouldn't support leaving the fan on all the time while using the wall switch for the light, so I purchased this remote kit.The receiver attached to the ceiling fan was a *super tight* fit but after dropping the fan, I was able to wedge it into the mounting bracket as in the attached illustration (from a Honeywell remote installation manual). Wiring was easy peasy.I mounted the remote control on the wall by my light switch. Like many others, I find the plethora of buttons irritating as I never put my fan on a timer. I can put up with that but the "light" button (the only button I use) has to be hit *just right* in order to work. Click it off center to the right and even though it's fully depressed, it doesn't work. Click it in the middle, straight down, but not hard enough, it doesn't work. If not for this one factor, it'd be an easy 5-star review. This alone makes me wish I'd sprung for a better kit.

Installation was pretty straightforward. Wires are clearly marked if your not familiar with the common wiring colors for these fans. Receiver snugly fits inside the octagon ceiling box. Wall plate can install right over existing wall switch box (only if single gang). Tried using the remote from other side of house and was working well. Range is far above avg for these devices. Magnet holds the remote securely to the wall plate.Ultimately though, I had to remove it. Buttons are just too cluttered for such a small remote switch. And while buttons may glow in the dark it's only for ~10 min, and a wall switch is highly unlikely to ever get direct sunlight to begin with making that even more redundant. Supposedly can program multiple remotes/receivers to each other but no documentation is included. There is a semi-hidden tactile switch behind the remote's battery cover but no idea how to utilize it. But my biggest complaint is the signals used overlap with my car's remote starter as well as other LED lighting I have in the house. So with no way to select different codes this is more of a headache than convenience. So if you can deal with the tiny button font; and you, as well as your neighbors, don't have other conflicting RF devices this may be a viable solution. At this point though I'm just gonna run new 14/3 NM wire.
