I was in need of two 4" rods and two 8" rods and all those coupling and end bits. I had them all in my cart and ready to check out when I saw this great deal on a set, which was cheaper and included two 12" rods...sounds great! I looked at the description and it indicated it worked with Smallrig and so I purchased it.Well, I had to come back and refill my cart with the stuff I had originally selected and purchase them as these rods and bits DO NOT WORK WITH SMALLRIG!!!!!So, in the end I screwed myself to the tune of $30 bucks...Overall, I am displeased with my purchase...

Ve lo consiglio ma attenti che tra neewer e smallrig che una leggera differenza nei prodotti che richiedono tubi di questo tipo e di conseguenza bisogna forzare e non poco per renderli compatibili, perfetti se vi servono per prodotti neewer.

I bought this in addition to a Smallrig baseplate for my Sony FX30. I can set it up either handheld or on my Gimbal and it works amazing! I think the Sirui battery plate I have is setup for slightly bigger rods as I had to really crank those down. Other than that, good stuff

I use these with a BMPCC 6K Tilta cage kit and they work wonderfully to extend rails in the front when using larger zoom lenses and in the back for batteries and other accessories. Great price, and the 3 different sizes are the nicest thing about this set. No need to make multiple purchases of different length rods!

I love the gear that Neewer makes. I own many many pieces and have never been anything but fully satisfied with each one.The Neewer lightweight rod system is another winner. It comes beautifully displayed in custom cut foam, and includes 2 joiners and 8 end-caps.I personally have no use for rod end-caps on my rigs, because you inevitably need to add and remove accessories in the heat of battle (filming) and caps just give you another thing to juggle. If you need caps on your rods to prevent gear from sliding off, you are doing something wrong. Having said that, I’m sure some people will use them and they are included.My only issue with this kit is that I wish it came with more rod joiners, since it only has two. Being able to join rods together is sometimes a great time-saver. For example if you are switching from a short prime lens to a longer zoom you can extend the rods out for the zoom support and mattebox without needing to remove your lens motors from the shorter section. Being quick and efficient gets you those repeat calls!I was confused at first why this kit came with the ubiquitous Neewer Allen Key (Hex wrench). Then I discovered that both the rod end-caps and the joiners are able to accept the Allen key to tighten and remove them. If you have ever tried to unscrew a stuck rod joiner with pliers, you will understand how innovative this is.Highly recommended!

This kit's quality is fantastic. The rods are lightweight and are easy to join and take apart.I wonder why Neewer only includes two joints, considering that there are 6 sections in the kit. If they included two more joints, it would be possible to assemble a pair of rods from all three sections, which would make this kit even more versatile.I did not have the heart to remove a star for that, though, since this kit is an absolute pleasure to use.

The rods have a good finish, typical of Neewer quality.They are easy to assemble and are straight once screwed together. There could be 2 more joints, but the 2 included ones are well-made, with an internal hex socket for easy removal.
