My dog absolutely hates it. I think he is frightened by it, but it does its job. Unfortunately, my dog refuses to walk with the umbrella over him. Good quality and good concept; just not for this guy :(

I always wanted a doggie umbrella for my pup. She hates the rain and refuses to walk or even potty in our yard. This umbrella helps with taking her out in the yard but she is not use to walking with it yet. It may take a little time to adjust for both of us. Overall, this is a nice umbrella with the exception of closing it. It is a bit troublesome to press the little tiny silver button when I’m in a hurry. The material of the umbrella is a bit thin so if we have a big rain storm, I’m not sure it will hold up.

I have a pup that does not like to go out into the rain and use the restroom. This solves that problem. I can now take him outside and he will not get wet. I can use my umbrella and use his at the same time and not have any issues. I've tried using an umbrella before, but as you understand it is hard to crouch down and hold on to the pup at the same time. This eliminates that problem. It's easy to assemble. Very high quality and definitely worth the money you would spend on it. I would absolutely recommend it.

My dog does not like going out in the rain, which means a guaranteed accident in the house. Living in a rainy area, I had been looking for a better solution. I tried holding regular umbrellas over him, but that didn’t work well. Turns out, this is the perfect solution to our problem!We just so happened to have a rainy day recently, so I gave this a try, and my stubborn pup actually did his business outside! It’s a bit awkward to handle, but it gets the job done. So thankful I have fewer messes to clean up in the future.

I really wanted to use this with my dog (a small, 12lb Havanese), but I really didn't consider how she would react. My dog is marginally skittish, but when I ordered this umbrella, I should have considered this. Since I live in the rainy coastal area of northwestern California, lots of rain is a thing. Build quality is as expected for the going price of this umbrella--it's good but not extremely robust. Let's start with assembly: it was fairly straightforward with or without directions (there's a bottom umbrella section and a hard leash extension to provide enough reach for the handle grip. Under the umbrella, there is a nylon (normal leash extension that give some adjustability to create height above the dog with the umbrella). I fully extended it for my dog. I was initially excited to finally try it out on the first rain storm. Connection is a little awkward with the nylon leash to the dog's harness, and this was an indication of how things were going to go with my dog. Even though the umbrella is clear, she didn't like being enveloped by it and seeing the umbrella tips around her periphery. Unfortunately, I couldn't even get a city block before she froze. I would say that, if your small dog doesn't have this type of reaction, this seems like a good option to keeping the dog dry without solely relying on a rain coat during a rain storm walk (luckily my dog is comfortable with the rain coat). I'll maybe try to acclimate her more gradually and see if I can get this to work (it's rather optimistic as this was the same reaction to waterproof socks on her that remains in her supply box untouched).

I wasn't sure how my little 15lb Shih Tzu would take to this dog umbrella, but to my surprise, she didn't mind it. It was a tiny bit confusing with putting it together and closing it up but I have sort of figured it out by trial and error.I got to finally use it the other day when it rained here. My only HUGE complaint has to do with the handle. It is so hard to grip it the way it is designed with how the pole hangs to hold it over the dog properly. It is so unnatural and uncomfortable.They definitely need to re-design the handle and it would be close to perfect.

My littlest dog hates to go out in the rain… I try to hold my umbrella over her but then I get rained on. This is perfect for keeping her dry. I was worried that she would be afraid of it but it doesn’t seem to bother her. Maybe she can’t see it because it is clear. This will make rainy days much easier (and no wet dog smell!)

Whoever has a dog understands the need of this when it's raining outside and your dog denies to go out for doing his business. It's also difficult that you have to dry them afterwards. This solves the purpose as you can have your own umbrella and then you can attach the pet color to this umbrella and then let them have their business.You do have to keep in mind that this is meant for small dogs, so if you have a bigger dog you would need to find a bigger umbrella, but this works perfectly for us. Obviously, there is a learning curve to it. I was trying to teach my dog to not be scared of it and he seems to be okay with it for now, but I am positive that once it's raining outside and he's desperate to go, he will not be afraid of it. It was easy to assemble and quite easy to fold and unfold. I would keep one in my car and may buy one more to keep on my porch. The chain that's supposed to go on their collar or harness is pure steel so it's quite heavy and would not let your dog run away.Absolutely wonderful product and absolutely great quality.
