I bought this microphone and after about two months, it broke (very unusual for Motorola). I contacted the seller and they promptly sent me a new one - no charge. Great product and the seller stands behind the sale.

I ordered this item as I was tired of generic brands not lasting more than three months. The item arrived promptly and in good physical condition. Upon connecting to my radio, it did not work. I called the number included in the packaging and left a message with my concerns; I received a callback within five minutes. The staff member who helped me explained one of the connection pins could be malfunctioning and offered to send a replacement better compatible with my radio (APX6000). After I shipped the nonworking mic, the seller sent a replacement for free, which also arrived promptly. The replacement mic has been working like a charm so far. I will update this review, after several months of use.

The lack of effort in trying to pass this off as Motorola is appalling. I got a box that stickers were obviously place over the original parts and the top sticker says Motorola. Well when you open the box there’s a lapel that is not even close Motorola size or quality, but I sure paid the $130 for it….next the writing says “remote speaker” where Motorola should be. The back of the loop clip doesn’t have the M that Motorola’s have. Finally the mail in coffin for the fraud is the user manual to a Motorola PMMN 4062A but alas that’s not what’s in the box. I am still waiting for my refund. Unreal Amazon, seriously questioning what’s going on here.

If you read through you have some people asking will it fit a APX 1000 the answer is yes it will I currently own that radio and ordered this and I love it so far best lapel mic I’ve ever owned it will also fit APX 4000
