As sturdy as arasaka mount just wish it didn't have big logo on top

Simple and it works. No issues. I like it. Personally I think this is one of those things you can save money on while building or setting up your gun. Some things shouldn't be compromised, but this is something that you really don't need a name brand on for it to work. It holds your light just as good as the one with the big price tag. On the other hand, if you're so insecure that you need that name brand in order to feel good, and you have the extras scratch. You may as well spend it.

Does exactly what it's designed to do. No issues with the one I received. Streamlight railmount 1 attached no issues, mount attached to BCM QRF 12 handguard no issues. I can't compare Monstrum to Arisaka because I refuse to pay $50-$60 for a 1" piece of aluminum with the Arisaka name on it... just no way you can justify that price to me.

The hole that tightens the mount down to the 1913 rail isn't centered look at the picture with the hole misaligned the screw runs into a side piece of metal and you cant tighten down so i emailed Monstrum days ago and they never contacted me,,, so save your money and buy a mount from a company that has some quality control and good customer service...

In terms of mounting to the gun and the light, this works. But the new position of the light ended up being functionally worse for me than the mount I was hoping to replace (Magpul's cantilever scout mount). One issue I did have with the quality of the product (and hence the reduction in rating) is the mounting screws for the light body. The black paint or coating they use made for a poor tolerance, and it took quite a bit of force to seat the screws home. It was almost to the point that it felt like the wrong screw pitch, but once the coating was scoured off, the fit was much improved.

The mount is small but sturdy and allows you a more forward placement of the light. This prevents shadows and dark spots in the beam.

After mounting tightly it'll still move back and forth a little

Seems like a great product, easy to attach. Time will tell if the value is as good as it seems.
