It doesn't take long to get frustrated with poor quality shockmounts. The elastic bands are usually prone to coming out of place and the angle clamp tends to be impossible to secure without eventually breaking. I have some nice factory mounts and a Rycote that are great, so I was looking to replace the few cheapies I was still using. Shelling out 100+ for an accessory is hard to justify sometimes, so I thought I'd give this one a chance. It turns out to be great! Time will tell if it is durable, but my initial impression is that the shortcomings of cheaper mounts are addressed. I'll update this if I am disappointed later, but so far, so good. Using with a TLM67 and just ordered 2 more (in a different thread size) for my Blue Bottle Rocket Stage Ones.

I use it with the Zoom ZDM-1 mic, which really needs a shock mount badly due to its horrible handling/mechanical noise transmission to the capsule. For reducing those noises, it works perfectly, and it even makes the mic look better and dressed up.

This is so much better then the plastic shock mounts that come with many affordable Microphones, it fit my two main Mics and I really like the stiffer shock mount, much better then stock mounts, it looks great and fit just fine on my standard Mic Stand screw mount.

A perfect shock mount for my Blue Bluebird mic as well as my AT2020 and others in my mic locker.This is a robust mount that feel sturdier than some of the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) mounts that came with the mics. This is especially true for my Blue Bluebird (the clamp on the OEM Bluebird mount is notorious for coming loose and letting the mic drop). This new shock mount will prevent that from happening.In addition to the two mics that I mentioned, I believe there are plenty of other mics in my collection that can be used with this shock mount. I am looking forward to doing some experimentation in the future.All-in-all, this shock mount is well-constructed and should give years of use in the studio. Recommended!

Fits the mxl really well. Well built, and screws don't strip when tightened down. Elastics have held up for 2 years on the first one I ordered with zero sag.Great item for the price.
