We stripped the venerable MMA glove back to basics and rebuilt it from the ground up, focusing on improving every aspect of the glove in the process. The result was the 4 Ounce [CRITICAL] MMA Glove by Meister, a logical evolution on a timeless design, and your new favorite piece of gear.
A glove is nothing without quality padding, so we went with the best. Custom-molded, high-density performance Profoam padding cradles the hand and wraps around the knuckles for superior coverage and impact protection. Extended knuckle guard padding with 3D curvature allows the hand to fall into a natural position at rest, and prevents accidental eye pokes during training.
Professional-level padding doesn’t help if the glove is misaligned during a critical strike, so the next challenge we tackled was keeping the glove in place during the rigors of an MMA bout. We flipped the classic wrist strap design on it’s head and developed our exclusive CrossLock strap system, which locks down the glove and prevents wrist deflection when striking. The CrossLock system works in tandem with our no-shift palm design, preventing glove movement during grappling, while still allowing full range of motion for the thumb and excellent air flow to the palm. Rounding out the package, we added a structured back of hand pad and reinforced stitching lines to help support the wrist and encourage natural hand movement.
Like any piece of Meister gear, we wanted these gloves to be able to keep up with the rugged demands of the athletes that use them, so we wrapped the entire glove in our signature Nemeios Leather; a synthetic material renowned for it’s durability and crack resistance. The inside of the glove features a Meister Breathe glove liner for superior sweat management and optimal airflow, so when the match heats up, your hands stay cool.

These gloves fit great, are well made, and feel like they will last. I love the soft leather and the long straps that keep the wrist supported. These are great for training.

After wrapping my hands I can barely get the velcro to reach all the way around. The strap needs to be longer these gloves would be perfect if the strap wasnt so short.. Very disappointing.

These gloves arrived as described. They fit my hands well and are nicely padded. The wrist straps are adjustable and comfortable. The area for the thumb has a strap that goes across the palm which makes the glove more stable on the hand and more comfortable. I have used these on multiple occasions and they don't show any major signs of wear and seem like they wild hold up well.

I don't have a baseline to compare these gloves against but I've found them to fit my hands very well. They are comfortable to wear in heavy bag sessions and do a good job padding my hands. No complaints!

Least fit a little bit loose for their size and that can be remedied by wearing hand wraps. You definitely need to wear hand wraps with these. The wrist support is only average. Perhaps will help compensate for this some.The stitching is clean and the material is good. The construction is solid enough. They are probably better for contact training than bag training. They are better for grappling than striking .These have been in regular use for the last few weeks. The wrist strap can pop open at times, but it's not a constant problem. They've held up well.

The Meister [Critical] 4oz MMA Gloves for Striking & Grappling w/Pre-Curved Nemeios Leather are a very nice set of gloves. I am far from an MMA fighter and only do workouts hitting pads or bags, but this is a solid pair of gloves. The protection on the fingers/knuckles is fantastic. The gloves have more coverage than the last pair I used. The wrist support is also fantastic. I liked that they have a chart to guide you in choosing the right size because that is very important with this type of glove. These are also very sharp looking gloves and I would absolutely recommend them.
