Your cart is empty.An acoustic take on a cocktail kit set up, the MEINL Cocktail Cajon Kit offers players a wide range of sounds from bass and snare to bongo cajons and a tom, all with wood cajon-style instruments. At the center of this kit is the MEINL Cocktail Cajon, which is played just like a kick drum. Made to be mounted on the Cocktail Cajon are the included MEINL Pickup Snare, Bongo Cajon with high and low pitch notes, and Pickup Tom Tap, which all come together to give you a full cajon set sound. Each of these three add-ons include their own L-shaped rod that attach to the cajon with its standard eye-bolt mounts. In addition to the cajon-style drums, this kit also comes with a foot pedal and soft foam cajon beater plus special Husk Brushes that are safe to use on the wood finishes. The brushes deliver a mellow, yet precise percussive sound. Every drum in the Cocktail Cajon Kit is outfitted with its own Piezo pickup and high-quality output jack so you can plug in and turn the volume up on the whole set when extra amplification is needed (audio cables not included).

Arrived ahead of time and was easy enough to assemble. I had to fix the snare, which was easy enough. Plays well. The bass drum has a good oomph to it, the snare and tom tap are decent too. Haven’t worked how to incorporate the bongo sound in yet but sure I’ll work it out. Will never be the same as a standard drum kit but it is good, small and quiet enough to play at home, as well as for jamming.

Perfect for acoustic shows. Great sound and great quality. Will most likely upgrade the pedal for one with a foot board with velcro. Does sometimes slide on certain surfaces. I did add a small hi hat and crash.

Being 6’3” the out of the box configuration is way too tight. Therefore I purchased 3 Pearl cowbell clamps to mount each cajon independently. I unscrewed the factory mounts off the bass cajon, since I will not be using them. I also purchased a 20lb flat weight to place in front of the bass cajon to keep it from sliding. The pickups make these cajon’s sound fat. This is a must have if you are doing an acoustic show. I forgot to mention, I also purchased the monster cajon brushes and these vinyl brushes play better than the bamboo brushes. That’s my opinion. Build is strong, sound is amazing and definitely worth the money. I played 3 shows and it has paid for itself.

The snare doesn't sound like nothing like the video does . Very disappointed in this kit. Kick drum was the only sound quality that was great.

The cheapest instrument I’ve ever purchased. Mounts broken, pedal beater unglued, snares hanging loose inside, mounting rods don’t hold due to cheap plastic tightening nut and husk sticks came unraveled after 15 minutes of playing. As if this wasn’t enough....they don’t sound that great....certainly not like the video. This a $500 child’s toy.
