Rubber isn’t flexible. Dont even think it will be collapsed 1/4”.

I needed a thin bumper threshold to close a sizable and crooked gap below my patio door that was allowing a continuous flow of desert dust. I installed this in front of and touching the exterior side of the door to block the opening, and installed a brush sweep on the inside. Perfect solution. My contractor was impressed with this easily solution.

There was as sizable gap between my floor and garage door. The main issue was that it was uneven ground. So I needed one that would be flexible to compress on one side, but still tall enough to cover the other side. The other issue at hand was that it was sitting over tile. So I needed the area for the screws to be a bit off from the rubber. This covered that distance and size perfectly. Plenty of extra length so if I messed up, I can fix it. Using the extra rubber to go around the frame covered some extra gap I didn't even realize I had a first, since under the door was so noticeable. The only downside was that there was no hardware provided. So I had to use my own, which wasn't difficult in itself since I had a bunch laying around, but it shouldn't have been necessary.

Screws were slightly too long, luckily I had shorter ones on hand.

The threshold was easy to cut length (aluminum) and trim rubber strip to size. Mounting to concrete using the mounting holes as a template.
