The picture on the site is generic. This mitt is full grain real leather. With that said its going to take some time to break in. Out of the box its stiff but can start working it right away. After catching fir my 15 year old son 3 times and rubber banding with mink oil its could be used in a game if you have good grip strenth. This glove is not small and can be used by adult with adult hands. This glove could be used up to highshool level baseball. My son pitches in high 70's low 80's and the ball sticks great in this glove. Cant get a better actual leather mitt for this price. Performance is on par with any $300+ other mitt.

Dislike, We have had less than 50 balls throw into it. Mit still looks brand new. Webbing leather straps have torn. We purchased for Xmas. But haven't used it until, last week when Bball started. Now to late to return.

My son has played baseball for five years and plays catcher a great deal. This was a great purchase for him because it is very durable, has good webbing and good pocket, and fits well in his hand. It looked even better than I thought it did in the picture and was a great buy at a good price. I've seen many more expensive catcher's mitts that look just as good and perform as well as this one.
