I put one of these on every one of my bikes. I tore up a bunch of spokes when my elderly mountain bike spoke protector disk disintegrated from age and the chain got to the spokes. Ouch! Replacing spokes isn't that difficult, but can get kind of expensive and I ended up waiting for a month to get spokes from China. I put one of these on when I replaced the spokes so it never happens again. Looks great too, not like those hideous plastic discs. People say you don't need a spoke protector if you know what you're doing, but they're inexpensive, not that heavy and will keep your spokes safe if the unexpected happens.

Replaced yellowed & cracked spoke guard on my 1998 18 speed mountain bike. Looks brand new again!

Does the job of keeping the chain from falling off sprocket and on to the spokes. Looks great on cruisers!

This is an inexpensive, but high quality upgrade I installed on my Schwinn Cruiser that had a plastic one that was faded and cracking. It looks absolutely beautiful with the shiny chrome finish and is easy to install with no modifications. Very happy in every aspect with it.

Clear plastic spoke protectors look flimsy and tacky. And they only get worse as they discolor and fall apart. I know the "purists" and weight wienies would say "do without", but I want the look and the protection, and the weight is negligible. This is classy, and a good finishing touch whether your bike is old or new.

This Spoke Protector is so Cool! I love it! Working on a bike that use to belong to my cousin and I originally thought I would get a new plastic protector, but obviously after hearing people say negative things about the plastic protector, I went ahead and ordered this chrome protector, most of the time chrome on some items looks bad, but on bikes, cars etc it looks really good. This will give my bike some bling factor, I like it, it's affordable and I highly recommend it! Plus this will last a long time, and I intend on it lasting a longer time then a plastic protector would. I also put these on clients bikes as well as shown in the picture.
