So I did not use this for the intended purpose. My use case was to use it to attach a counterweight to a pitianny rail on the bottom of a rifle to help with balance. So it is strong enough to hold a 8 inch long 1 in round brass rod.

Great entry level scope rings. Will do the job for a basic low ring. Have your thread locker ready though

These were decent scope rings, put on my Marlin model 336 with a 32mm scope and I was able to clear the rear sight with it folded down and get a good sight picture and cheek weld. Best set up I've found so far for the Marlin. That being said, they do feel a little lower in quality than the high weavers I used to have on there but will see if they hold up. I have no reason to believe that they wont.
