I can't tell ya'll how much I love this backpack. After spending 8.5 weeks with the issued backpack for USAF BMT, I hated how it fit and how the weight literally pulled your shoulder back and was super uncomfortable. So when I got to AIT and was told I could purchase my own backpack for use, I began my search. At first I was apprehensive of spending over $100 on a backpack but damn it was worth it. The OCP pattern perfectly blends with my uniform, but thats just the beginning!the wide straps make it super comfortable. the compact way it is built makes it super easy to tall tap in formation and march. It has more than enough room to carry my binder and other study material for class plus my fleece or thermal. the molle straps allow to have a second pouch attached and the side pockets allow for my protein shaker and sun glass case to be easily accessible. The molle straps on the side allowed me to fit my 40oz CamelBak water bottle with holder (also purchased from Amazon and a great buy!).I've gotten tons of compliments on how the backpack looks and more importantly how compact it is.If you're in AIT and need a solid backpack for class or for whatever reason, go with this one. it's one of the best purchases I've done by far***btw, im about to ship out, but I loaded it up with all my patches to show how much real estate it available, per regulation you cannot rock them while on base****let me level with you...I love backpack so much, I purchased the all black version to use when im not on base and just want to blend in with the civilians. THAT'S HOW GOOD THIS DAMN THING IS!

Great construction, hydro capable, padded back, nice wide cushioned straps with elastic pockets. Not a ton of pockets total but just enough. Good wide lid for easy loading. They kept the profile thin by making it tall which is unique to other packs I have. Thevtag said 175$ but Amazon said 99$ lol 6/5 a great buy

This is a good medium sized backpack, very simple, one big pocket 2 side pockets and one on top. There were a lot of things they could have done to make this pack better, like add an organizer and more substantial separation in the large central pocket. Another would be a concealed carry space and little poncho for covering the pack in rain. I got all that from a cheap Tru Spec bag, plus a pocket to carry a water bladder. The only thing that was better on this Oakley bag was the stitching and the straps. It is very comfortable to wear.

The first one is better in my opinion. Specially this does not come with a hydra pak unlike the version 1.0 and second, this doesn't have the extra deeper pocket with zipper for you boots on the bottom unlike the version 1.0

Love this pack. Use it when I’m out in the woods. I have all I need for one day of activities. I have my jet boil, mountain house foods, batteries, water bottles, gel fuel , lighter and extra propane can for the jet boil.
