This is one of the few carabiners I could find in this category that already had a hole in the frame in a good spot for a keychain. I bought it and was impressed by the quality feel of it out of the box. The spring function is very firm, which I appreciate. I’ve been using it a few months now and a little bit of the finish has barely started to chip, but I consider that reasonable when I use it combined with keys and other stuff that can scratch the finish.Definitely worth buying, it’s made just clipping my keys on to a bag or a sleeve easier while I am holding my son or an armful of bags. Plus it’s “lower key” than the old branded one I had, which is also nice.

I use it a keychain for my keys - knowing in a pinch I could use it for heavier applications. It's held up for several years now, so I bought a second just to have around. It's great and it looks awesome.

Like a lot of people, I use a carabiner to carry my keys on my side. This is so I never lose them, and I don't have to keep a wad of keys in my jeans or jacket pocket. That being said, I was tired of cheap carabiners crapping out every six months, losing the tension, and leaving my keys vulnerable to dropping. After this happened recently (I found my keys, thank god), I decided to "go for the gold" and get a real carabiner. This thing is awesome! It's built like a tank and I honestly believe it will last longer than I'm alive. So, cool carabiner key-wearers, this is your ticket.

I bought this item to use to hold a keyring with keys. I don't use it for climbing or anywhere near the awesomeness it is built for. In the month I've been using it I have enjoyed the robustness it exhibits. From the positive spring pressure, the black coating, and overall durability is remarkable. I have dropped it a few times on the asphault and can't even tell. If it ever fails, I will buy another!
