These D Shape Carabiners are listed as 25KN rated. They look good and the gate operates smoothly. The sleeve lock works well too. I wish the nose had a hook on it like the other carabiners that I have(see picture). This would make me feel that it was more secure. I will use them for non-life safety situations. I’ve been using the D Shape Carabiner 25KN for a mix of general tasks around our beach camp and some moderate climbing along the cliffs of Palo Duro Canyon, and they’ve held up well for both. Around camp, I’ve used them to secure tarps, anchor lines, and hang gear without any issues. They’re sturdy, easy to clip on and off, and the screw lock adds a nice bit of security.When I took them climbing, they performed solidly. I wouldn’t use these for serious climbing, but for moderate climbs and securing gear, they’re more than capable. The locking mechanism is smooth and reliable, and I’ve had no issues with them slipping or losing their hold, even when they get a bit sandy or dusty out in the canyon.Overall, these carabiners are versatile and dependable for both general and climbing use. I’ll definitely keep them around for future trips.

I have a bunch of different carabiners and these are just as well made and light as the others. I do have some that are made of solid steel but are heavy compared to these. The thing is that both my steel version as well as thing aluminum version have the same max weight rating, but the weight difference is night and day. These carabiners are worth it over my steel ones every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Haha! Sorry, I’ve always wanted to use that line. No, really, these will not disappoint and I plan on having a long use of these for years to come.

These carabiners are strong and well-made. They come in a nice box that stores and displays them well. We used two of them to attach tree stand steps to the rear side of our 6x6 ATV, so we can climb up to the hunting stand more easily. They work perfectly. They support my husband's weight easily. I love that they have screw locks built in for added security. This is a great set of carabiners. I definitely recommend them!

I don't have experience as a climber, but I have owned a lot of carabiners in my life. These are definitely the nicest ones I've owned. They have a really nice spring action to them with a very smooth locking action.Can they withstand 5500lbs of torque? I don't have anything that can output that kind of force to test. But they're certainly more capable than I'll ever need them to be. They are sturdy. They look great and just have a premium feel to them.
