I ordered some of the cheap Chinese GFCI outlets, which were much less expensive and seemed a good deal. Unfortunately they were dead on arrival and two of them cost me half a day and I called an electrician even though I have installed a number of GFCI outlets in the past. He confirmed that installation was correct and the cheap outlets were not working. These work just fine.

I bought this product hoping for durability when replacing a 10-15 year old outdoor GFCI outlet that had died. The install was as expected for a GFCI outlet. So far it is working as expected. I'll probably be able to more accurately rate it in a decade.

We needed to replace a failing outdoor GFI. This is for use at our summer home on the beach. Due to salty corrosion it is hard to keep things working properly. This with a plastic cover did the trick.
