Found quickly by home assistant. Good build quality. Would be better if the USB was also controllable.

Hubitat finds this device, and it works as a Generic Zigbee Outlet. Unfortunately, it defaults to off upon a power failure, which is pretty annoying when regular plugs will comeback on after the power is restored. It also looks like it has multiple endpoints, which is weird considering my outlet (non-USB version) only has one socket to control.

The outlet works as described. It was extremely easy to pair using the ZHA integration in Home Assistant. I'm not sure I'm going to keep using it though. It has an extremely high pitched ringing noise coming from it.

On the bright side, the plug worked fine with Zigbee. No WiFi or app needed to set it up. That's a good thing! My Alexa hub found it right away.BUT, the Tamper Resistant shutters continue to be a major hassle, unfortunately. Few manufacturers seem to make them work well, and this one was the same. It was very hard to get plugs, especially grounded plugs, into the sockets.I realize regulators are pressuring manufacturers to include TR plugs, but I'll be returning this one because the TR flaps just make it too hard to plug things into the outlet, really defeating the main purpose of the device.

Very simple install speaking as far as wiring it up goes. I of an all Zigbee smart home and use Home Assistant to control everything. This paired immediately after holding down the power button until the green light started blinking. They have worked flawlessly. Just of note only one socket is Zigbee controlled. The other is always on. They are clearly marked as seen in the photos. I plan to get more.

This is a re-branded KS-15T/WU outlet, that goes for about $8 each (plus shipping).Nothing wrong with this outlet per-se, but just know that you could buy one from the original manufacturer for 1/4th the price. It also has relatively few safety certifications compared to outlets from more mainstream manufacturers.

Perfect way to handle automation for a single device, or even for a group of devices connected with a power-strip. I have a home automation controller (Hubitat Elevation) and control this with the zigbee protocol. It paired easily with my hub, and I am able to control power to several stereo components without having an extra device between the wall and the power cords. With my setup, I am not able to make use of the USB power port, but I dont really need to, so its not a big deal. I think you had small 2-prong power cords, the USB port would be easily accessible. The one thing I had to deal with was that my controller could not "toggle" power with this device. I dont know if thats a function of this device, or the driver used to control it. It can be turned on and off remotely, but it requires explicit "on" and "off" commands. For my button controller I just use a single-press to turn it on, and "hold" to turn it off. For some other zigbee devices, i am able to program the button to toggle the device from what ever state its in (ON or OFF) to the other state (OFF or ON) by a single button press. Nothing that affects my rating of the device, just something to understand. I dont use Alexa integration, but I imagine that this would work perfectly for that.

They connect and work great. They are also super rare. Not a lot of zigbee receptacles and even less with a usb port too. My only issue is the led indicator is bright and I can’t find a way to turn it off besides turning off the outlet.
