I bought 2pks of 2. After the electrician wired up the place and installed the breaker the gfci plugs were totally dead no lights no current or anything. Total disappointment and waste of money. Now am considering to have to buy others to get the project done.

Slowly changing outlets in my house from white to black and I got these for the bathrooms. They look nice, they seem to be decent, but so far I've installed 3 and one of them was bad. It kept tripping and we would reset it and eventually it would trip again. I double checked the connections to make sure everything was good, but it would still trip. I swapped it out for another one out of the pack and haven't had an issue yet. Overall not bad I will buy them again, but next time I won't wait so long to put them in so if there is an issue with one I won't be past the return date.

In a way I'm glad I got a pack of two. One of the two plugs was faulty, after installing it and powering back up (exterior outlet, for the pool filtering system) it did not work at all. No power, the GFCI breaker was reset - no difference. The second one works fine but I'm suspicious of how long it will last out there. It's in an insulated outdoor box and protected by the roof overhang but this is still Canada...We'll see. I have to take a better look at the faulty one to figure out if it's actually faulty or if I had it wired wrong - unlikely but still possible.

Please pardon my remodeling mess - took a while to get one installed, it went outside, and the weather and the handyman have their own schedules. It is in a covered area and under an outlet cover. It worked from the moment the electricity went back on, and a week later it's running my xmas lights. It's just what I needed - black to match the porch (lots of cast iron plus dark paint out there), and the indicator lights are much appreciated. The second one is going on my RV... as soon as that comes to the top of my very long priority list, and I'll light that up too :)

The connections in the back are nice. It’s heavier than you’d expect and seems well built. It looks great and comes with the trim plate. It’s awesome to not have to buy them separate. Installation was a breeze!

My daughter and her husband bought a house built in the 1940's (without having us look at it first). One challenge is that none of the electrical work in much of the house had any grounding wires. Even worse, the previous owners had replaced some of the 2 prong receptacles with 3 prong ones (just with the ground open). My first grandchild is on the way - and I just couldn't let them leave it that way. Rewiring the whole house to include grounding wires was beyond my ability (and desire to tear up their home) - but I did read that you can get some protection by installing GFCI outlets in each receptacle. That seemed like a reasonable thing to do. (It isn't as safe as having a properly installed grounding wire - but it does provide some protections over what they had originally.)These GFCIs reasonable to install and were also tamper resistant - so someone can't stick something metal in only one side (or at least it's harder to do). I figured this would be another nice safety feature. The back connections (the ones with a barbed plate that grabs the wire when you tighten the side nuts) seemed to flop around in the GFCI - so if you didn't let gravity do its thing, it could be in the wrong place to tighten down on the wire. After you do one or two, this isn't a big deal - but I've had some of a different brand which had the clamp plate right under the screw and you just slid the wire under it and tightened. Neither of these types is bad like the Quick Connectors on standard outlets. It was okay - but I prefer the design with metal clamp plates that are right under the side screws.I liked the green light to say that the outlets were powered and not tripped. I also liked the red light that would blink when it did its testing.I ended up using many of these (and had to buy more) - but I'm glad for the added safety for my daughter's home (although I do wish they would have let us steer them to a house that had grounding wires). In any case, I was very happy with these and in bulk they were less than half what I could buy something similar for a the big box store.

These work well and are pretty easy to install with solid wire just insert and tighten the screws and your good to go. The ground is a little hard to work with if you are passing through to a second outlet, I guess you can do one inserted and the other on the old school screw. But yea I got 4 and probably will get a few more of the same.

Bought to replace malfunctioning exterior outlets. No issues with exact fitment. Outlets work as they should. No tripping from moisture yet so not sure how well that works, but I have no doubt they will do what they are designed to do if necessary. Nothing cheap or low quality about these that I can tell from the outside. Nice to have working outdoor outlets again.
