So far so good, if you are looking for an option similar to a gfci in function but don’t want to swap out an outlet or if it’s just a temporary situation this thing is fantastic. Haven’t seen any issues with it yet, but I’d imagine if there was I probably won’t be updating this later. Would/will buy again.

It’s sturdy and looks well made. The auto-reset feature is what you want. Cheaper such items don’t offer that feature. You’ll need the auto-reset for when there’s a power outage. Without that feature, the GFCI will pop and cut off power during a power outage, and it won’t go back on until you reset it, by which time everything in your aquarium will be dead. Auto-reset will automatically go back to normal after an outage.

I was impressed with how sturdy and weighty this feels. It's the sort of thing you'd expect in an industrial environment. Should stand up to plenty of abuse.Works fine, seems to do the job so far. Test button cuts off power and reset brings it back. I got it because I wanted to use a cheater plug with a piece of audio equipment, and wanted to alleviate the safety risks of doing so.It's fairly large, so you may want to get a short three-prong extension cord if you are using it next to other outlets or on a power strip.The only oddity is the unit gets a little bit warm near the top. I'm only pulling about 7 watts through it, so it seems some of the circuitry inside is a little inefficient. Probably whatever's driving the LED indicator.

This product rocks! I purchased it as part of my kegerator line cleaning setup (Google "beer line cleaning setup"). Just after running it for half an hour, I noticed just how dirty my lines were. My setup required this product to ensure safety since I was using a submersible water pump and electricity. Those two things are usually not a good combo, but this product helped me construct something I could trust. With this outlet, I could rest easy knowing I was protected. I'm no electrician, but when a piece of equipment (such as my aquarium pump) tells you to purchase something like a GFCI outlet, you do so. Nothing is worth being electrocuted for. Especially when it isn't that expensive. I paid full price for these items and I can assure you I’ll be purchasing another setup when I add taps and lines. If you’re like me, you have probably spent a good amount of money invested in your brewing equipment. You start at bottling, but now you’re kegging and need a reliable product to help see your liquid ingenuity through clean tubing and into your gullet.
