We've used this box twice now. Excellent heat in the box. We've cooked beef ribs, pork ribs, 2 whole chickens and 2 Cabritos everything came out great 👍.

The caja china in general, was a great buy. It worked as expected and easy to clean. I wish the wood used was a a bit of better quality, however, it may be heavier. Assembly was a bit confusing when I had to attach the handles. I have a good time cooking in it.

This box is poorly constructed. The holes do not line up. It takes lots of strength to bend pieces just so they will align. Often times when trying to screw in a screw it would push out the screw fitting put the back so then your screw would not tighten down. Wood is thinner than I expected and I’m concerned with how long it will last.The charcoal grate had hook type handle that pooped through predrilled holes. While trying to put handle in the holes the end piece popped off of the metal grate. Very cheap weld spots! I’m not sure how you would be able to lift hot coals with this grate when it breaks just putting on a handle. Very disappointed with the quality of this product. I do not recommend spending money on this!

Was a little skeptical at first. But this thing is magical! The meat was tender and the skin was crispy.I recommend this for all your pig roasts.
