I love the concept of this chain, but, for my purposes, it is overkill. I had to return it because it was too heavy and unmanageable. In a high-crime neighborhood, I'm sure it's a terrific deterrent.

Secured my daily rider for 10 years in cities. Secured my bike on roof-mounted rack for multi-day drives/roadtrips. Lock mechanism still works well despite lots of rain, snow, sand, street crud. Chain has not rusted.If you don't mind the weight, this thing's great.

You really can forget about it. The lock requires bespoke tools to pick. The shackle and chain are made from tough steel. Anyone trying to steel your bike is goingTo be caught before they can get through this lock.

I bought this after my first e-bike was stolen the thief cut two other kryptonite locks/ I had this and two other kryptonite locks and I thought my bike was secure inside my apartment parking garage. The thief cut through all 3 in less than a minute. Besides the fact it’s heavy it really sucks

I use this lock and chain to lock up my eBike. It feels nice and secure. My son told me it's overkill, but I spent $800 for the eBike and it makes me worry less. I'm a 71 year old senior that's 4'11" and I'm able to handle it without difficulty. I thinks it's somewhere about 10 to 12 pounds in weight maybe. When riding my bike, I store it in the pannier bags I have attached to my rear rack.

Best news is that I still have my ebike and I'm in an area where they get stolen often. So, the lock works! But it is a project to carry and use it. It's not particularly long so you need to be very close to whatever you're locking to, and the chain links are so big that they will not fit through most spokes, and so heavy that you need to take care not to lock to a part of your bike that might be damaged by supporting the lock's weight. For me, it's all worth it, but it is honestly not an easy lock to operate.

Das Schloss und die Kette sind in einer Dimension, die vor allen Bolzenschneidern die mobil zum Einsatz kommen können sicher macht. Das Schloss ist sehr leichtgängig und liegt tief im Schlüsselloch was Aufbruchsversuche für diebe erschwert.Die Kettenglieder sind so dick, dass sie kaum durch die Fahrradspeichen passen, was einen guten Eindruck von der Wuchtigkeit des Schlosses vermittelt, die Textilhülle schützt dabei gut vor Kratzern. verwende das Schloss selbst seit 2 Jahren mobil, und habe bisher keinerlei Probleme damit gehabt. mögliche Kritikpunkte für Käufer könnten (wie in der Produktbeschreibung angegeben) jedoch das hohe Gewicht und die damit einherkommende schwiereige Handhabung und geräuschvolle Anbringung sein. ebenso klimpert das schloss oft leicht während des Fahrens und errinnert so an seine Anwesenheit. Nach 2 Jahren hat die Textilhülle einige Buchstaben eingebüßt und die Kette hat ihren Glanz an den freiliegenden Stellen verloren. Das schloss läuft dank entsprechender Pflege jedoch nach wie vor sehr leicht und zuverlässig. Außerdem noch ein Lob an den Kundensupport, er ist bei diesem Hersteler wirklich ausgezeichnet.

La cadena es súper tosca, ya que tiene eslabones muy gruesos, la imagen no le hace justicia al grosor que tiene el producto real.Las claras ventajas que tiene es que como es tan gruesa, nadie podría cortarla con una cizalla, la única forma para poder cortar esta cadena es con un disco de corte o un esmeril. El candado es pequeño pero muy fuerte, su ventaja es que tiene doble cierre, es decir, si cortan un lado, el otro seguirá firme en su lugar, tendrían que cortar ambos para poder quitarlo, y de todas formas tampoco puede ser cortado con cizalla.La única y gran desventaja a mi parecer, es que es muy pesada, así que considera que siempre deberás llevarla en tu mochila, porque enredarla al cuadro de tu bicicleta como cualquier cable "chafa", sólo hará que tus movimientos se entorpezcan mucho, primero por su peso y segundo por su grosor.Igual, es una excelente opción para proteger tu amada bici.

Very sturdy chain. I lock my motorcycle to a Kryptonite Stronghold Ground Anchor and it has been safe in my apartment parking lot for the past few months. The chain is just long enough to loop it through parts on my bike. The cloth cover is nice, but a little scratchy, so be careful when pulling the chain through any expensive painted bodywork. Have personally heard a police officer say "no one is cutting through that chain" when looking at it.The U-lock is well built, and I appreciate the sliding plastic cover that keeps dirt out of the lock mechanism. I have had to add a little oil and graphite powder to the bottom of the U-piece due to some rust and dirt buildup, but nothing major. The included keys are nice, and one of them has a little blue flashlight built in to it.Note, this is a very heavy chain, so probably not something you'll want to lug around in a backpack.
