I have the same problem as others, this will not work with my garbage disposal because of the length. I really like the look and feel of this flange which disappoints me that I cannot use and it is basically trash can bound. Garbage Disposal screws are not available at hardware stores as I looked for the longer length screws so I could use this flange. Perhaps to improve the product they could include mounting screws with their product. This would increase sales and useability.

Once you have a deep basket disposal flange, you don't want the shallow ones again. The deep basket does a good job of catching the things you don't want down the disposal, but does not trap water in the sink (like using a flat filter above a shallow flange).When you lift out, all the debris stays in the basket as you dump it in trash. And the basket can stay in place below the stopper.Only reason for four stars is that it does not come with gaskets, but those are only a few dollars at Ace (or maybe even somewhere on Amazon). Yes, you can install with plumbers putty, but spend the few extra $ for a gasket set.

I got this for my insinkerator drain. Unfortunately, I failed to measure to make sure it would fit and it does not. It has a gasket on the metal lid but not sure if it is water tight. I tried to use it to plug the opening but the lid goes sideways and it's difficult to get it evenly placed. The main thing is measure first!

The drain insert is made out of a sturdy metal and works well at collecting and food debris. Instillation is easy, just slide it into place. The water stopper works well and retaining the water in the sink so I can soak my dishes before scrubbing them.

We recently switched from a stainless steel sink to a ceramic farmhouse sink. As such needed a flange that was taller/deeper than the one that worked for the thinner stainless steel sink.This worked great and I didn’t have to fret over it cracking the nice new sink!I wish it was a little cheaper, but it definitely was cheaper than the big box stores.I actually like the strainer more than the rubber strainer that comes with the garbage disposal, that way I can just throw away the larger pieces of food.
