This chuck is solid and precise no matter what size bit you put into it. No slop or slack. tightens quickly and completely with only a tiny amount of key movement. My original chuck required me to rotate the key at least a quarter to a half turn after it was hand tight on the bit...this one is les than a tenth turn. Hold tiny 1/16th inch bits perfect with no runoff. Same for large bits. (In other words, ALL bits are held secure with just a slight turn of the key and with no wobble). I am ecstatic about how good this chuck performs.
