These little things are great help start a fire in my woodstove when out of kindling and wood is not as dry as i would like. I hate being cold and struggling to get a fire going. These are the perfect solution. Bought these for a friend. But, this is what she told me. She is thrilled with the product. And toasty warm as a result.

I wasn't sure if these would effectively light all the coals or just the ones around the blocks but they worked great. Just fit them in the charcoal and light them.

This is a great product at a great price.Phenomenal!I doubted the advertising, but I decided to try, especially since my electric starter died and this had the least expensive per unit cost.Baby, it was cold outside. Like “don’t bbq because it’s too cold” cold.I broke off four squares and put them in the bottom of a charcoal starter tower then filled the tower with charcoal. I put the tower-charcoal-starter inside a Webber Kettle. I used a lighter to start the blocks. It was almost a challenge because the starters shifted: I lifted the tower to light the starters through the holes in the base of the tower.THEY STARTED! And they burned. They burned hot! And, as fast as I can ever remember, the charcoal tower had flames leaping from the top.In approx five minutes, I had a tower of perfectly glowing coals.Dang. I realized I used too many starters. The instructions were correct, if not slightly pessimistic about how many blocks are required. The blocks left no aftertaste in chicken or steaks.I highly recommend!
