How to use it?

This works well first time using one of these. I like it. I don’t need it but I like it. Another grill gadget under my belt. I will say this I haven’t misplaced this yet. Keep misplacing the lighters but this thing is too big for me to misplace.

This starter worked as well as the one I currently have. As you can see it is wider so the pile can be larger and still be over the heating element. Worked well and in 15 mins I had coals ready to cook. Only issue is that when I take the starter out of the grill hot, to let it cool I can not set it on anything but something fireproof since there is no stand built in like my current starter. This will be the backup starter since I always have a backup.

I'll admit I was sceptical but this thing works! And quite well too!I made a small pile of briquettes and rested the lighter on them. Then, piled some more on top to cover the coils. Plugged it in and waited for about 10 minutes and it had my coals all lit. It doesn't smoke as much as lighting them in a chimney starter but it takes about as much time to get going. I'll definitely use it more often because it's so easy to use. It was also a great conversation piece over the weeken. This one's a keeper!

This is nice to have if you often misplace lighters like me! I figured I'd get this and see if this work and to my surprise it actually does! It worked pretty good! It doesn't have that long of a cord which is kind of a downside. All in all, this was a nice investment!
