Throw a bit in the fire pit and then add a match. Fire starts pretty much immediately. Highly suggest it

We have a wood burning stove to heat the house, this makes starting fires so easy and quick. A little pinch goes a long way, lasts for a long time!

So easy to start fires with this! No need to kindling… we stack up large wood chunks as a “log cabin” configuration… throw some of this in there and rip rolling fire in no time.

Not sure what the negative reviews are all about as I have used this product for over 3 years now and it has worked great. I usually buy the 2 gallon container and will use about two of the containers per year. We burn about 5 cords during the winter. I sprinkle Insta-Fire on the kindling and light and the fire is off and running. Recommend this product.

This is a great product! My sister and I have always had trouble keeping our wood stove going once we would light it. The flame never lasted long enough for the wood to catch. Even when we would load the stove up with paper, it just seemed like it would burn out before the wood would get going. I first saw this product on one of the websites for new products to try. I thought I would give it a try. I am so glad I did. You just put a cupful in a pile under the wood and light it. It makes a nice flame and and it last for a long time. We no longer have trouble getting the fire going. This is all we use now to light our stove. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Game changer! We live in the country and more often then not heat our home with a wood stove. This product has cut so much time and effort into starting our fires. I am thrilled and highly recommend this product!!

Very disappointed with the product. When lit the flame is about the size of a gas pilot light. Very little heat and does not ignite dry kindling before going out. 1/3 of a cup as described does not work. Will not stay lit!

I bought it for lighting our outdoor fireplace. I was tired of watching my husband use liquid fire starter & nearly burning off his eyebrows every time. It works perfectly!!!Gets the fire going every time & you only need a little bit. Highly recommend it.SO MUCH SAFER THAN GAS OR LIQUID FIRE STARTER!!!!

Really just terrible. I want my money back. It barely lights and when it does it burns like a candle. True story... I used it to help with lighting a camp fire and in the morning when all of the wood had burned away there was a pile of this stuff left in the fire pit. It survived 6 hours of intense burn. Today, I've been trying to use it to light my wood stove and it keeps going out. It will burn for 5 minutes so it has clearly ignited and then it just fades to nothing. The logs won't light because a candle just isn't enough. Don't buy this.

I would give it five stars but I haven't built a fire with it yet. I did put two ounces in my driveway and lit it where it produced six minutes of a very strong flame without ever faltering or trying to go out. By far the best results I have ever had with any type of starter.

Ive done a little testing before my upcoming "survival campout".Pros: It does light with 1 match. It does burn in wind. It will light (at minimum) 1-1 1/2 inch sticks, still mostly green with bark on fire. Even a small amount does create a decent flame for an extended period of time. I am comfortable that this is a good product, and works as advertised.Cons: During testing, it never completely burned up. I tried multiple times, both in a pile, spread out, etc and never did all the material burn. The only time it came close, was when we used it inside a very small fire. Then almost all of it burnt. Im not sure if that is how it works, or if Im doing something wrong, but that the only con Ive found, and honestly not worth loosing a star over.
