It broke first time I used it. The frame is flimsy. Must be made in China like the rest of the Jonard line. I trashed it and bought a Jameson brand much smoother and frame was heavy duty. Sometimes you get what you pay for!

I do a lot of contract work for various builders running cables. I bought this specifically for very long drive through conduit runs that exceed most normal fishtape lengths.I was rather excited initially as Jonard is very reputable and their other products I own have been fantastic. This however, has not been. While I'll give it points for the ability to sand down and re-head a broken portion of the fish tape, I'm finding it near useless. In fact, I haven't managed to get this tool to run through a single extensive drive through conduit yet, placing me at a 0/10 in attempts at different sites. At my first, the fishtape busted and became limp, requiring me to pull back, sand down and reapply the head. I've tried each of the interchangable tips in order to see if it made any different at each site, to no avail. I've actually been resorting to using jetline tied to a plastic bag and using a vacuum in order to make my runs, instead of using this $400 tool I bought specifically for this exact purpose. The reel itself is probably the best part of the item. It stores well, feeds smoothly and has a hand tighten wing nut that you can loosen or tighten to create an easement of use for feeding.Sadly, this device is now sitting in my garage collecting dust. I should've just spent the money on a 300 ft Klein, non-lethal fishtape.
