I have not used the item nor do I plan on using it. I know most things are made in China, but at least US companies have some standards as to what goes into their products. This was very thing compared to other silicone cake molds sold in US stores. I should mention this was shipped directly from China. As soon as it was out of the plastic bag, the chemical smell was overpowering. I soaked it in lukewarm soapy water to get rid of the smell to no avail. It still lingered after several washes. I'm concerned about the chemical that would get in my food once this mold is heated.
