I was able to successfully put two helicoils into an EJ 205 with minor modifications to the tooling. See attached pictureWhat you'll need to do is get a 8 mm deep 12-point socket so you can drive the tap all the way down to the bottom of the block. The socket will go all the way into the block until it bottoms out on the shoulder of the socket. That should be about the right depth for the tap to reach the bottom of the block.The other modification is welding or somehow attaching a longer rod onto the tool that puts the Helo coils in.Be extremely careful when installing the helicoils!!! If you twist too hard the tabs will break and you will have to drill out the helicoil coil. I would suggest doing quarter turns at a time and when you let go of the handle it should not spring back towards you. If it does then you're hanging up on something and starting to apply too much pressure to the helicoil. I just went a quarter turn at a time and made sure the helicoil wasn't binding.Also on top of that I read loctited both helicoils end of the block.Also someone posted that the drill bit included is 1/2". That no longer is true it measures .450" which is the perfect size

Nice kit, well packaged, competitively priced.Although you can make the repair if you try hard enough, the tools are too short for sunken head bolts on a Subaru EJ engine.Spend the money and purchase a time-sert repair sleeve set, for a much more secure and lifetime repair.

Materials seem OK. Came wrapped in plastic. But the labeling is different than the listing. Diameter is smaller than another m12 set I have, but I don't have another means to verify actual size
