Not sure whether because I used the SIM card on an old Nexus 5x, the reception seems kind of weak. I also wasn’t able to connect inside the HND airport at the beginning but later on it works when I go mostly outside. I did contact the service through WhatsApp and the response was quick. That is a plus. I deduct one star because it was CMHK card under the hood so APN is CMHK. The data may have sent through Hong Kong.

I ordered this just prior to my trip to Japan. I did not want to pay the high cost of using my existing US SIM provider. This worked great. It was easy to understand how to use. Instructions provided were very clear. I waited to arrive in Japan to install the SIM just to be safe, but I don't know if I needed to do that. But once I did, I was connected to the local network in no time. I was there for two weeks, and the SIM (and my connection) worked flawlessly. Well worth the cost. Downside, of course, is that I wasn't able to make or receive calls or texts, but I worked around that using Whatsapp. Recommended if all you need is a connection to the internet and data useage.

I ordered the 20 GB, 15-day card in preparation for a company meeting in Tokyo. Many if my coworkers bought airport vendor cards that did not offer as many GB of data for the price, so I felt like the value was very good.My trip was specific to Tokyo, and in this city, coverage has been perfect. I've had no coverage gaps, using an iPhone SE2.I had a question about the card before I purchased, and asked it over Whatsapp. The support received was knowledgeable, courteous, and timely.I followed the clear instructions that were provided with the order, and activation was simple. I installed the SIM in flight, in airplane mode, and when I took my phone out of airplane mode at the airport gate, it took only a few seconds for the phone to connect itself to the network on its own.My only disappointment with this card is extremely petty: I am crazy about sakura (cherry blossoms) and was looking forward to having the lovely card pictured in the product listing to add to my foreign SIM collection. Instead, I received a very generic, plain white card. I know the design of the card has ZERO practical purpose, it was just disappointing since the photo is so lovely. 🌸All in all, I would encourage you to have no hesitation about buying this card if you'll be in Tokyo. You'll be jet-lagged when you arrive, and that's no time to be trying to read SIM card signs at airport kiosks through an online translation tool! (And you first have to figure out how to connect to the airport Wi-Fi to do that!) Walking out of the airplane with an already-active phone is a delight!

This SIM card worked exactly as advertised, I was able to activate it online a couple of days before I left for Japan. When we arrived in Tokyo, I turned the phone on and bingo, I was able to access a cellular network for data. It worked well for maps, finding directions, information on attractions in Japan. It did not solve all the issues I had hoped, however. I was hoping to use it with Whatsap for texting and communicating back to the States. But since it was in a cell phone with no phone number (an old unlocked phone I had hung on to after upgrading) that wasn't possible so had to continue to rely on WiFi and my primary Verizon phone for those functions. But as far as cheap access to data, it worked great even in more remote areas outside the cities.

Even after a few times on WhatsApp with customer service I never was able to get it to work with my Samsung phone.

I just spent about 10 days in Japan. This card was perfect! Never had an issue with it. I did have to learn how best to minimize unnecessary data usage (such as making sure my apps updated over WiFi only, etc.), and I had to be mindful that this SIM card did not allow me to call or text regularly (though this wasn't an issue since I also have Google Voice and WhatsApp).Otherwise, it worked well! In fact, the Gigs were more than enough. I had contact with Wi-Fi often, so I only used about 2Gbs or so over the whole trip! Still, it's good to have a lot left over.I never had an issue with speed either. Everything worked well. It's worth the monetary value, that's for sure!I should also not that I have an Android: a Motorola Stylus 5G in fact. But a friend I was with had an iPhone, and his copy of this SIM card was also compatible. So we had no issues there.It's very much worth the purchase!

These SIM cards worked great while in Japan. we activated them following instructions while in the US. However we were on a cruise and our ship also went to South Korea. Something happened to the SIM cards as soon as we got to Korea. We did not expect to have service in Korea however about half of the SIM cards that we had in our group would not reconnect to Japanese service. My advice if you are on a cruise pull the SIM card out prior to getting to Korea!!!
