The lid I received seems warped, dished, concave. I thought this was supposed to be flat. This is for an outdoor sump basin. The concavity will provide a nice breeding puddle for mosquitoes after any rain. I have a support request sent directly to Jackel to see what they say. I'm surprised because I really like their basin. Will update here when I find out.UPDATE: I didn't wait for Jackel to respond. I discovered they differentiate between a "sewage" lid and a "sump" lid. This one is a sewage lid. I'm pretty sure the difference is the sewage version has a gasket. I found a smooth Jackel sump lid w/o the gasket elsewhere for much cheaper. Hopefully that will solve the warpage problem as well.

We had to redo our sump pit and discovered the company who originally install the pit and basin cut corners. We had to dig it all out, jackhammer the rock they didn't deal with and replace column mold they used for a basin. It was a beastly job, but this pit, the cover and the flange (all from Amazon) have made the new system very good. The quality of the parts and the way they all fit together means this job won't have to be done again. Jackel is the brand to go with!

Show me a drainage contractor and I use this as a lid for the small sump basin. I think it’s over priced for what it is, but it is the only thing that will fit their basins that is a solid lid.

I bought this for the radon mitigation in my home in an existing sump pit next to my water heater and washing machine. I could not find anything else that would accommodate the pvc and a drain so I needed an inexpensive (relatively) solution. This item allowed the contractor to customize the cover.

Love these, I can't believe how much better they look than a concrete lid. I'm a little curious how much weight they can handle if drove on by accident.
