I bought it for my bladder less well system to replace a failing snifter valve. While this is a valve. It is NOT the kind you would use on a bladder less system.

upon closer inspection of my well, I found that there was leakage from the air valve. I found out that it would cost close to $50 to replace the whole apparatus. This did the trick in replacing just the air valve for it cost less than nine dollars and works really well. I did not even need to use Teflon tape.
