I suspect the bad reviews are from people who did not set it up correctly. Need to register the SIM card while still the U.S. and select one of two plans (with or without call forwarding). We paid extra for call forwarding, which (for our Verizon U.S. number) also needs to be set up (per the Verizon call forwarding instructions) just before leaving the U.S. (we did it at the airport). We then installed the SIM card during our flight. Worked perfectly as soon as we landed in Israel and restarted the phone. Would also mention that we received prompt email responses from customer support for questions we had (mostly relating to call forwarding setup) before departing. Only criticism is that they should have better instructions, even on the Amazon page, which probably would eliminate 90% of the issues for people and would have saved us some time.

Worked like a charm on my visit to Israel. Perhaps not the most cost effective option for short trips, but internet worked mostly OK (great in urban areas, intermittent in the more rugged north). Best thing was that it was seamless to swap, just need to unlock your phone.

I recently purchased this SIM card for my trip to Israel and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The SIM card came with clear instructions that made activating it a breeze. Additionally, after the acivation process, they emailed me troubleshooting/instructions/settings to verify for the mobile network(internet)But what really stood out to me was the quality of the service. I had great coverage throughout my trip and never experienced any dropped calls or slow data speeds. This made it easy to stay connected with friends and family back home, as well as to navigate and explore the country.I highly recommend this SIM card to anyone planning a trip to Israel. The instructions provided and the quality of the service made my experience stress-free and enjoyable. Thanks to this SIM card, I was able to stay connected and make the most of my time in Israel!

SIM card arrived promptly overnight as I paid for. Purchased 2 months of service for my college student who was studying in Israel for 6 weeks. It never worked. Phone actually was disabled completely with this SIM card. He could not contact customer service using any of the contacts that came with the card. He put the old one in back in it just so he could take photos and use what’s app to text once a week. Not really able to communicate though. I contacted customer service and they said he could email them for help but he was not able to. Hope we can connect at the airport somehow we he comes back. Maybe his iphone was too old? Either way it was a waste of $100.

This card was great and not expensive. It comes with easy directions on how to sign up for a cell phone/ data plan in Israel. The plan was cheaper than I saw elsewhere and the sim car was a great price too. Basically, putting in this sim card with the Israeli phone/data plan allows calls and texts to come through. All other apps on your phone work as usual without anything special needing to be done. The only slight complaint is that to call the U.S. (which the plan allows for free) you must dial another number first and that is impossible to memorize so you have to keep the sim card instructions around in case you need to dial OUTISDE of Israel.

My son helped me set it up before I traveled to Israel for two weeks. It worked great there.We had a little trouble setting it up before we went because we had discarded or misplaced a code we needed. So save all parts of the item until you have the phone completely set up and ready to go. We were able to contact the seller and he emailed us the code, but better to save yourself (and the seller) the hassle and be careful to save all loose items that arrive until the phone is completely ready to use. (IE - don't think it is ready when you install the SIM card - you need to enter a code found on something that comes with the SIM card).

Works very well for cell phone service in Israel. However, don’t buy this card if you want to be able to send iMessages or FaceTime with the United States. This car does not support even SMS messages from the United States. Otherwise, it works fine. I called tech support, they suggested I use WhatsApp. That won’t work for iPad as there is no iPad app. If I had known that, I would’ve bought a different SIM card
