Beware of "Exact Replacement for InSinkErator STP-PL/STPPL Black Rubber Sink Stopper for Garbage Disposal – Compatible with Standard 3-1/2" Drains from Kohler, Waste King, Whirlpool, and More." They leak and don't fit Insinkerator. This stopper works well and doesn't cost $30 like the stainless steel ones. It's good Amazon carries this stopper as none of the big box stores in my city had it.

I wish I would have bought this insinkerator water plug years ago. Works great, just make sure plug is secure and tight before filling with water.

This fit down perfectly into the garbage disposal side and when pushed down gave a good seal to keep water from leaking out. Great replacement for my original.

So far it has a good tight seal that is holding water. I'm not sure what the reason was, but the shipping was a ******* nightmare.Edit: After 24 hours there had been some leakage (and evaporation), but the sink wasn't close to drained.

We've been through a few different types of sink drain plugs and this one fit well, and has a rubberish type of seal around the edge to do a better job of blocking the water from going down the sink drain.As long as you put this in the drain with the larger roundish type knob on the top, it is extremely easy to remove. I've never put this one in upside down, but others like this (that were less effective) were much harder to remove when inserted upside down. On those other types, I had to use pliers to get a good enough gripe. I'm assuming this type is similar, but both my wife and I love this one after using it for several months.

You need it so got to have it. There are cheaper compatible versions available that look the same but i didn't take the risk

I was very happy with this order. We moved to a new house where an insinkerator was installed but the plug had long since been "lost" or tossed by prior residents. I wanted to be able to plug the drain so I searched for a replacement plug. I purchased a similar product prior to this thinking it was actually this product. It claimed to fit insinkerator drains but once it arrived, I found that it did not fit at all. I was nervous I would have a similar issue with this one but it fits perfectly and now I can use both sides of my sink to hold water as needed.

Well, it's a replacement stopper for our Insinkerator! Quite pricey, but they last well!
