- In a separate bowl, dissolve 1-2 tablets and submerge hydration pack parts and accessories

This product arrived when I was hiking in the Red River Gorge. When I returned home I was able to use it. It removed a stain that had been in my bladder despite several washings/scrubbings. I am extremely pleased with the results. I highly recommend it!

These are good but you still need to scrub the bladder and hose to remove whatever gunk got collected in there.

So, I have a 3 to 4 year old CamelBack water bladder with a long tube and bite valve that I've been using for mountain biking, motorcycling, and hiking for about the last 4 years and have never cleaned it and the water tasted...like it was coming from a heavily used 4 year old unwashed water bladder. Anyway, I did a few google searches on how to clean water bladders like mine and found this product and decided to give it a try. I followed the instructions and filled the bladder with hot tap water but tossed in two tablets instead of 1 (The box came with 30 tabs), then I let it sit for about 45 minutes. During this time a foam had developed inside the bottle. Per the instructions, I then kneaded the bladder and squeezed it and worked things over for a minute or so to make sure the foam hit everywhere inside the bladder. Then I let about 50% of the contents out through the bite valve into the sink. Oddly, the water came out a light blue color and had a pleasant citrus scent. I then dumped the rest of the contents out and rinsed the inside of the bladder thoroughly with clean tap water and let more of this water out through the bite valve as well. Then I left the top cap off the bladder and let it air dry out over night. The next day I filled and rinsed it with tap water again and then filled it up for a hike. The water tasted GREAT! The two tabs had done the trick and I was 100% satisfied. My girlfriend took a drink as well and also noted that the water tasted completely clean--no citrus aftertaste either. It was just good, clean, tasting water and I'm very happy!
