Riding crop has a good hand, firm yet flexible- real leather. The "flail" whip is fake leather and is more useful for brushing away flies than anything. Color is good and doesn't transfer to your hand. Handles have nice wrist band useful for giving a stronger grip on the whip.

I'm not exactly sure how a horse feels about this, but in testing this on my own human flesh, the crop has a nice sting too it and is well made. The whip is very light and the leather is "soft" so when you whip lightly its a nice soft feel, but if you go a little stronger, there is a nice whip sting. Using it on my leg didn't leave a mark, but I could definitely feel that if you hit too hard it might smart a bit. Should be great for all of your horsing around needs.

Very responsive crop and flog. Texture is pretty nice. Not too rough or soft. Your "horse" will definitely appreciate the fell. Great price. Comes in regular box with no pics on it

This is a great introduction to sensory play. I do not believe they would be very effective in use with a large horse, but for humans it's not bad. Both the crop and the whip seem to be well made for the inexpensive price of the set. The crop gives a nice sting, but the weight of the material used is very light, which means if you are looking for a more intense experience, you will be left disappointed. The whip has a nice length to it, and you can get decent impact from it, but again it's made from very light material, so the intensity levels achievable may not be what you are looking for. Overall, we're pretty pleased with our experience using this set.

Many of these products (priced low on Amazon) are only good for costumes or novelty purposes. This set would at least offer a minimal introduction to sensory play for a first experience, so I can recommend it for some gentle taps, or flowing strokes. If you want to dial up the sting at all, best look elsewhere. As long as the buyer keeps expectations low, this set is recommended.
