About Weaver
Founded by Harry A. Weaver in 1973 as the Fryburg Shoe Shop, Weaver grew from humble beginnings into the trusted manufacturer of a wide range of leather and nylon goods it is today. In the beginning, Harry concentrated on shoe repair, but before long he recognized the potential to expand into other markets. The fledgling company began handcrafting leather horse and cattle halters. The popularity of these halters led to the manufacture of more and more items prompting Weaver to become a driving force across various industries including equine, livestock, leather supply, pet, arborist, tool gear and custom manufacturing.

I purchased this for a training aid for my sheepdogs. It is very well made. the slapper on the end is real leather , attached to a solid PVC bat very well and of a nice thickness. The crop makes a very nice "pop" when used but does not sting much with a light snap on human skin so on a dogs coat it would be less., of course you can use more force as needed for the application you may be applying it to and it will handle it well. The strap on the handle can be looped over the end of the bat so it is not hanging down or placed through the wrist so the crop cannot be dropped. The grip is very comfortable and overall it is very well made and will last a long time with use. This is not a novelty item, this is the real deal for working person, made to withstand the real world. This is a great tool for what ever your four legged friend/family member may be.. or even an unruly two legged one at that, as long as they are of consenting age ect.
