I started big game hunting this year and bought myself a modern .50 cal inline muzzleloader. When I come in at the end of the day hunting after shooting my muzzleloader I run this snake through the bore and I'm ready to hit the woods the next day!

I got a CVA Optima v2 in 50 cal and grabbed this bore snake for field cleaning. It works great! Still need a dedicated brush closer to the breech but it’s fantastic for in the field.

I used this on a trip where we had to use muzzleloaders. Since we are using 777, storing this bore snake after using it is a PIA. IT needs to be washed regularly. It did get the crud ring out after a few pulls through the barrel.

Much easier to use than the traditional brass rods. A very easy way to do a quick clean job after each hunt. I spray the inside of my barrel with an all in one gun cleaner and pull the rope through. Thats all i ever need to do to maintain the inside of the barrel.

Amazing what this thing will do to a fouled muzzleloader in the field - a quick draw through with no solvents and you're set to reload. Amazing!
