I've seen a lot of bores and I've seen alot of snakes, I've also seen alot of bore snakes.... and this ones awesome, no little plastic crap to come dislodged on the snake, and it hasnt balled up on me at all.

I got this for the AR after we started using a bigger version on the shotgun. It's way easier to use than a segmented or solid rod and keeps the bore clean. It requires a lot more umph to pull through than the shotgun version, but the cap of the bottle it comes in has a handy fitting so it can be used as a pull handle. It cleans up just as easy as the shotgun version. Simply put it in an old pillow case, tie it shut and toss it in the washing machine. Of course, be sure your cleaning products are safe for the washing machine, but many these days are. I still carry a segmented rod in the range bag, but it comes out only for stuck cases and the like, not really for cleaning.
