PRO: The built-in pillow actually works very well and is the right height for an medium built person to sleep on their side. The soft cover is removable and washable and feels good on the skin.CON: If it is on a hard surface you might still need a bit of additional cusion but will work for a couple nights camping. The foam is almost too soft so it doesn't cushion as well as if it had an underlying firmer layer.

This mattress pad for camping is really nice and super soft. We haven't had a chance to take it for a spin yet since the weather's been a bit too chilly (and we're not adventurous enough to go when it's 30-40 degrees outside at night), but we are looking forward to using it next spring when the times comes. :D So far we've just been able to test it out in our living room and my little toddler has been enjoying rolling around on it and pretending it's his new bed. I love the built-in pillow. It's a perfect height and removes the needs to use up extra car space by packing our own pillows. Great product!

First if you’re over Six feet tall then your feet will hang over the edge. Otherwise it is relatively comfortable. I laid it out on my tile floor and tested it. I was surprised that it was more comfortable than expected. The right angle pillow was a concern but you really can’t feel it. This is perfect for a cot or possibly a hammock. It comes with one long strap with no instructions on how to use it. I was hoping there would have been two straps with some kind of buckle. The mattress came vacuum sealed and there is no way that I can get it back to the same size by rolling it up. Give it time to expand to the fullest.

The comfort and size of this camping mattress along with the overall support are good.Super easy to use!Folding the mattress is real easy.I like the mattress thickness, I slept comfortably on it for a few days camping without discomfort.Great for RV camping!I am not fond of the nylon carry strap, the mattress could slip out onto the ground.

I have not read any other reviews. I'll give you MY experience and thoughts. I'm about 6' 2", about 250 pounds and have a very painful back with what's called "spinal stenosis". I'm told this will result in eventually going dead from waist down. I've been sleeping on a couch for years to avoid pain when my wife moves. I'm a side sleeper. I looked at that square "pillow" and said "what?". So I threw this Homby's camping mattress on my lumpy couch. First surprise was it fits perfectly, and being a little narrow at the front is a good thing because I need hands on the front to get up. It does NOT slip. My next surprise was this takes ALL the "lumps" out of my couch! You could put this on uneven ground or a concrete floor and sleep well. While waiting a few days for arrival I was thinking I might cut the square pillow off and use my memory foam pillow. The first night I threw my pillow aside to try this mattress pillow. It's perfect! On either side or back it's absolutely perfect! Now, what to do with my arm that I habitually place under a pillow? The mattress pillow is soft enough to put your arm on top and never feel it. There is no pressure point anywhere! I wake up feeling SO much better! The pad has a very fine zipper, so the cover can be washed, If there's one sort of oddity it's that if you're using it for a portable, rolled up camping mat you get a continuous web strap with two loop ends. Just place the two loops when you roll it up and snug it up, but the remaining strap is a bit long. Dream up your own way to carry it or tie a knot to shorten it. It's really a life changer and I'm SO glad I have it. I bet you will be too!

I ordered this for a lake house to pack a bunch of kids into a bunk house twice a year. Perfect! It's really comfortable (I'm 60, 5'.6". 14 lbs, and I slept on it to test) and thick. I'm not a huge fan of the square, built-in pillow, but it's a smart design. It rolls up nicely to store in a closet or under a bed. It's not compact for a backpack, but it's not marketed as such. I'm happy with it.

This Memory Foam Camping Mattress Pad is so comfortable. It is made of really good quality. It is easy to roll up. I like that it is made with a pillow. Just in case you forget your pillow. I would recommend this product.

We look forward to having our first young guest use this pad on the floor of our living room. Having tested it out myself, I am betting he’ll say it is more comfortable than his own bed. For now, it is 5-star. If our guest says otherwise, I will return to update this review.
