It's tiny and light for a bit of waterproofing and insulation. also the saggy seats on the bus are better if you put this right under your sit bones still folded in 3

I'm old and I have a bony butt. I always just sat on a rock or a log when I took a break from hiking - no cushion. For years, I've seen hikers pull out pads like these and sit on them. I thought "not me". I'm a man, I'll sit on a rock or a log, like a man. But, in my old age I've learned to adapt to things like washing my hands for 20 seconds, dental floss, kleenex, and now, sitting on a seat pad. Yes, this doesn't suck. Last week I ate lunch on a mountain top, sitting on this foam seat pad. Why did I wait this long? I think indoor plumbing is in my future.

Product was poor quality, thin as paper and when it is compressed it does not recover, would not recommend there are much better ones

Wonderful item. I use it when I deep woods camp. Allows me to have a small lightweight item that creates a barrier between me and the cold ground. Wish it had a grommet in it so I could attach it to a chair via a string because it blows away on a windier day. Offers a cushion and insulation when sitting in a log, ground or camping chair. Waterproof and mildew proof.

for one fifth of the price of the branded version, (and likely made out of the same stuff in the same factory), you can't go wrong with trying it. Actually, consider buying TWO if you use an inflatable sleeping pad-one under your shoulder area and one under you buttocks will provide protection for the inflatable pad, AND increase insulation and comfort for you!

Amazingly nice sitting pad. I've used it on rocks, ground and kneeling. It is the perfect size to fit inside my daypack for hiking; it fits where the bladder goes (I don't use them). It took a little while to ship, but was totally worth it on my last hikes. It is sectional so there is a danger of it tearing at the fold so be careful stowing it in tight spaces. I might order a few more in case I actually do rip it. I'm usually pretty careful but you never know when your tired during a tough hike. Otherwise, perfect little pad for the price!
