Hikers understand that the order is tarp/tent, pad, THEN sleeping bag. Pads are much more important for staying warm than your sleeping bag is. Getting it wrong and the suffering from 'forgetting' a pad is practically a scout tradition/rite of passage.You don't make the mistake twice. It isn't about comfort, it's about warmth. Sleeping bags get crushed under your weight, and so don't insulate between you and the cold cold ground.Which is why, I wondered why I never saw a good 'glamping' version. Sure, you have air mattresses. But those are 'extra/on top', and are for comfort- they don't really insulate well. So I was very glad to see this.For a good glamp setup, you want a this pad. For a posh glamping setup, put this pad on an air mattress.It's built well, feels good. Looks like it'll shed light duty dirt. Especially on the bottom. Rolls up easy enough into the provided straps. Also, I'm not sure your cat/dog will be able to tell that it's for you, not them- so be warned, that your critters might be interested in trading fur for a nap.
