These small monitors come in real handy for a video security system. They work for a long time and can be left on all day.

Seems pretty pricey for what it is, but it does work well, and I am using it as an auxiliary monitor in my garage. Overall it is exactly as described, and performs as expected.

My kids love producing their own podcast videos, and I come from a video production background, so I got them this to use as a field monitor. With a few modifications using adapters (not included), they're able to run this monitor off Sony NP-F batteries. Inputs look good. Obviously you're not going to have all the robust adjustment tools of say an Atomos field monitor, but for a basic low-budget setup, this does the job. And if it gets damaged, you're not out the bigger bucks either. They're really pleased with it, as am I.

I mounted this monitor on one of the adjustable monitor arms that clamps to your desk or countertop. When I'm at home, it is mounted in the kitchen as a recipe monitor to a small windows PC on a stick. It provides just enough screen to easily read a recipe or watch a video. When I'm on the road, it make a decent portable monitor. Using the same clamp and my laptop, I can give myself a little extra screen space without lugging around a full weight monitor. It has a multitude of inputs, including BNC (who still uses BNC video?), so it will work with all your equipment.

My LCD monitor didn't turn on when I received it. I ended up having to take it apart and figure out what was going on. Turns out the cable that hooks the LCD to the controller board wasn't seated to the LCD all the way. After I fixed that, it did work at least. The other thing is it doesn't feel like a higher quality part. I wouldn't pay $100 for this, maybe $45 and we'll talk. I have some other portable LCD monitors that cost less and are quite a bit nicer.

This is a small 11" monitor with speakers. It is the sort of monitor that would be used for diagnostics or hobbyist projects. It does the job, but isn't great. The screen is bold and bright with little noticeable flicker. The speakers are functional but quite tinny. It has HDMI, USB, VGA, RCA, and coax inputs, so it would be a good monitor to keep around to connect to old devices. It does not have DVI or DisplayPort inputs. The build quality is fair at best. The tolerances on the case are not great, and the stand is fimsy, low quality plastic. The stand also makes the monitor bulky, so it is not suitable for travel.Where it fails the most is the controls. It has buttons on the back, but they are mislabeled and hard to figure out. The remote control is simply awful. The buttons are mushy and have almost no travel, making it is hard to tell when you have pressed them. Even worse, you have to be about 6" from the sensor for the remote to work reliably, hardly "remote" at all.You are not getting a break on the price compare to similar units, so this isn't really a value option. I would recommend looking elsewhere.Note: To work reliably with a Raspberry Pi, it has to be well-powered. I don't know if this is a limitation of the monitor or the Pi, but I had poor results when the Pi was powered by a USB battery. It would only consistently connect to the monitor if it had a direct AC connection.

Something was banging around inside the monitor when I opened the box. The box itself was fine, no damage. The light on the front turns on, my computers display settings blink in and out with it thinking it has a second monitor and then forgetting it's there. The screen itself never lights up or shows any sign of life. Would not recommend.
