Putting the pump directly into the water didn't get any water movement. Forget about connecting any hose.

When received, pump shaft would not turn by hand at all. Pump has Inlet and Outlet arrows. Put Ryobi battery drill on shaft and hose pipe piece 3 foot long on inlet. Spun shaft Clockwise with hose in liter Coke bottle of water. Emptied in 4 seconds. Lots of flow for emptying A/C overflow Pan. Hope it last a long time. (Should)

Nice little inexpensive pump.I'll be using it to suck the glycol/ antifreeze out of my teardrop trailer reservoir.I'll be interested to see how it works and holds up over time

Product very disappointing. As it turn out the first time I used it was when I really needed it to work-- in a flooding situation. I could not get this "self priming" pump to prime. Even when I squirted water into the entrance side. When I attacehd my drill to it, is was difficult to get the internal mechanism to rotate. Also it kept twisting out of my hand when I turned the drill on.

Absolute piece of junk. Tried to pump hydraulic oil. I primed the pump first. It never worked! Melted the plastic bearing in the housing. The rubber impeller inside did not fit the contour of the housing. Tossed it in the trash!

I want to say it sucks but it's a pump and it doesn't work at all! I needed to pump water out of a pipe, it did nothing! I sucked the hose I attached to it and I just wound up putting the pump back in my truck and using one of the hoses and siphoned it out. This is a useless product! I don't even want to give it the one star but I had to give something.
